Fashion satire illustrator Alexsandro Palombo returns with a set of drawings casting fashion key figures as iconic yellow skinned Simpsons characters. Hillary Alexander is a personal fave, just because she’s such a smashing character in real life, and love the donut eating Albert Ebaz.

‘Kuniyoshi: Spectacular Ukiyo-e Imagination’ at Mori Art Gallery (Roppongi Hills) is a highly recommended must-see look at the work of Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861) at what marks the 150th Anniversary of his death. His amazing technical skill coupled with an incredible imagination makes Kuniyoshi a master of ukiyo-e. 420 works are on display in this exhibition, some of the well known masterpieces, others private commissions on view for the first time. Pre-Meiji restoration Japan in all it’s fantastical glory.

British Designer Henry Holland has collaborated with Australian sunglasses brand Le Specs on a range of eyewear that has finally made its way to Tokyo. Brought here by the H3O Fashion Bureau and available at CANDY NIPPON . The range consists of classic silhouettes with a trade-mark Henry Holland twist. A highly covetable collaboration.

Takeashi Uematsu was a relatively new face on the Paris runway this Fall-Winter 2012-13 Season. Takeshi was in no less than four high profile shows, pictured above for Louis Vuitton, John Galliano, Dries Van Noten and Lanvin. Up until now Uematsu’s most high profile appearance had been in the ‘Tokyo Tribes’ editorial photographed by Koichiro Doi and styled by Shun Watanabe for VMAN last year.

I’m not sure if there was a jock member of the ‘Adams Family’, or indeed if there was a sporting character on ‘The Munsters’. If there had been Thom Browne’s F/W 2012-13 collection would cater to their hentai sartorial wardrobe. Browne has found a niche in producing an interesting and surprising collection without sacrificing top tailoring and quality. Despite the grandeur of the show there are so many wearable pieces, blazers, ties and sweaters in blacks, grays and pastel greens. What a fantastic show.
Japanese model Daisuke Ueda has had a killer season on the European runways during the menswear Fall/Winter 2012-13 collections. From top left, Daisuke is pictured in the shows for Corneliani, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Mugler, Louis Vuitton, Issey Miyake (x2), Kenzo, Hermes and Galliano. Daisuke is at the fore front of a fresh wave of Asian faces sweeping the fashion world, a representation of the growing importance of the Asian market for luxury brands. Otsukare!
The theme of the latest issue of Bi-yearly french magazine WAD is ‘On TOP’. Verbal and Yoon from AMBUSH Design co-ordinated a look at who’s ‘on top’ in Tokyo, which included Phenomenon’s BIG-O, Sk8-Thing, The Kita-Kore crew, CANDY, Contemporary Fix and the Tripple Nippples.
