楽しみにしていたブランドの一つ。韓国出身のBAJOWOOが手がける「99%IS-（ナイティンナインパーセントイズ）」2014/15年秋冬コレクションが発表された。高さ5メートルほどの巨大「”A”NARCHY（アナーキー）」のアーチをくぐって登場したオールブラックのモデルたち。（このアーチには、デザイナーBAJOWOOのパンク魂が込められているず）予想通り始まりから終わりまで全身黒でパンクなストリート＆モードミックス。（2014年春夏コレクション レポートこちら！）スタッズ以外の金具（ジップ、ピン）をシルバーで統一し、ヘアデザイナー、加茂克也によるアーティスティックなヘッドピース。レザーをメインに、ナイロン、ベロアとハードな素材が目立つなか、前回同様MACKINTOSHの頑丈なゴム引きコートが姿を変えて登場。なかでも目を止めたのはレザーのオールインワンにショート丈のブルゾン、プリーツの入ったボトムス。
Fall 2014 was only the second runway collection for 99%IS Designer Banjowoo yet the excitement for the show was palpable, due in part to the debut runway show back in Autumn (see photos from (99percentis Spring/Summer 2014 here). Probably the best front row we’ve seen this week (Asano Tadanobu, Miyake Ken, Kiko etc) were there to witness models stride through what we could only speculate was the largest ‘ANARCHY’ sign in the world, a five meter in diameter monument to Bajowoo’s punk spirit. We were backstage to see it all unfurl from an ungodly hour, but witnessing the transformation of the models at the hands of Hair Artist Katsuya Kamo is worth getting up for, after the silver hair of Spring for Fall Kamo-san crated black cutaway gimp masks painted to look like leather and covered in 99@IS branded zips. These zips give some sense of the attention to detail here, Anarchy ‘A’ across seams in backs, ‘I AM 99% OF 1%’ on Bull Clips, the 99percentis trademarked round tipped studs, safety pins, a new collaboration with Macintosh – all pieces of an evolving brand history that coupled with the execution of the show makes the items (all in black with lots of leather) highly covetable.
