Last August, Levi’s original 1947 501 jeans were given a slimmer and straighter cut. This youthful update was pushed further by giving fashion director Nicola Formichetti the job of styling the global campaign. These new campaign pictures feature model Josh Beech photographed by David Vasiljevic. They retain the classic Levi’s image whilst managing to be completely contemporary.

For us, 22 year old Londoner Josh Beech was the stand out model of Milan fashion week. It’s not that he was in the most shows, or had the best stuff to wear. It’s the fact that he represents a balance between the really young models like Luke Worrall and Ash Styemst, and the older more muscular models who are popular in Milan. Slender not skinny, and with a strong square jaw, Josh stood out among the models on the Milan runways. Expect good things from him in 2009.
