ADEAM FALL/WINTER 2015 at TOKYO FASHION WEEK

ADEAM’s Hanako Maeda presented the brands Fall/Winter 2015 collection during New York Fashion Week. Yet splitting her time between both NY and Tokyo the Designer still wanted to participate in Tokyo fashion Week. The challenge of how to present the collection differently to how it had been shown in New York was met with a simple yet highly effective solution… cast local models. Sounds simple but this really made the show stand out (see ‘In Tokyo, Japanese models don’t rule the runway‘). The clothes themselves were embedded with abstract Japanese references, Hanako was inspired by the monochrome lines used in the work of Artist Kohei Nawa. With the stellar cast, the luxe fabrics made a major impact on the assembled audience at Roppongi Midtown. Once supermodel Tominaga Ai had closed the show the curtains parted and the after party commenced. Jazz Pianist MAPPY took a turn on the piano to entertain guests at what had been for many reasons, a stand out event during Tokyo Fashion Week’s Fall Collection’s.
