11月にオープンしたベルルッティ銀座店にて昨夜（12月10日）ローンチパーティーが開催された。CEO アントワン・アルノーによって開催さてた今回のイベントには、アーティステック・ディレクター、アレッサンドロ・サルトリの姿はもちろん、パリ本国から来日したマスターシューメーカーとマスターテイラーによるデモンストレーションが行われた。訪れたゲスト陣は、世界三大貴腐ワインの産地として有名なフランスのソーテルヌ村にあるリュル＝サリュース家所有のシャトー（ワイン生産者）で、甘口の白ワイン「シャトー・ディケム（Château d’Yquem）」のテイスティングを堪能。会場にはフォトグラファーのライアン・マッギンレーやRIP SLYMEのILMARI & SU、アーティストのガーダー・アイダ・アイナーソン、スタイリストの祐真朋樹と多くの著名人らも祝福にかけつけた。
また、DOVER STREET MARKET GINZAでは、ベルルッティのローンチを記念した限定コレクションが発表され、カラーリストによるパティーヌ（ブランドが独自に開発した特別な染色プロセス）の実演が行われ12月1日より店頭で展開されている。コットンとシルクデニム、2タイプのフィールドジャケットやファイブポケットパンツに加え、エクスクルーシブなカラーレンジのバックパックや革小物、シューズなどが揃っている。

On Tuesday night in Tokyo French Luxury Maison Berluti invited guests to see their newly opened Ginza store as well as their limited edition collection at nearby Dover Street Market. We started the night at DSMG where a Berluti Robot welcomed us at the entrance. Located on the 4th Floor, the colors of the capsule collection popped amongst the white lighting and walls of the leading select store. A leather specialist was on hand to demonstrate Berluti’s technique of treating the luxury colored leathers with potion like bottles of liquid. Particular favorites of ours were the leather trimmed indigo denim field jacket and the blue leather backpack.
Upon leaving Dover Street Market, torch wielding boys in head-to-toe Berluti guided guests through the streets of Ginza to the nearby Berluti store. Greeting us here was the chance to taste 2008’s Château d’Yquem, the premier white wine from the Bordeaux region which was was simply divine. Absolute attention to detail throughout the 3 floors of the newly opened stores ensured a complete luxury experience. For the occasion of this opening reception party the experience was enhanced by the presence of Berluti craftsmen who demonstrated the process of sculpting the casts for Berluti shoes and tailoring the bespoke wardrobe the brand offers on top of it’s ready-to-wear collections. A well-heeled crowd was in attendance including company CEO Antoine Arnault, Su and Ilmari from Rip Slyme and renowned photographer Ryan McGinley. We met with Creative Director Alessandro Sartori who was enjoying meeting Berluti’s Japanese customers. Sartori’s eye has perfectly married Berluti’s heritage with a modern luxury aesthetic and we look forward to seeing his upcoming collections.
