CHANEL S/S 2010

シャネル（CHANEL）2010年春夏コレクションが、昨日パリのとある場所で発表された。83年からカール・ラガーフェルド（Karl Lagerfeld）にデザイナーが変わり、ツイードを使用したスーツや、ココ・シャネルの頭文字を重ねてみたり、現代風にアレンジしてきたカールおじ様。今まで以上に手のこったショー演出に会場はざわめいている。メガブランドだけに、会場に訪れるファッション関係者、ジャーナリストの数は半端ない。そして、シャネルのキャンペーンに起用されたミュージシャンのリリー・アレン（Lily Allen）によるサプライズ演奏。それにしてもなぜ彼女なのかさっぱり分からない。

It was a view into the country life of the European aristocracy for Chanel’s 2010 S/S collection shown in Paris yesterday. Models emerged from a barn to walk around the farm in an elaborate set which gave life to the clothes to give them character beyond anything else seen during a predictable Paris Fashion week. Some may call it gimmicky, tacky even, but Chanel put’s the ‘show’ into fashion show. It’s not just about the clothes in the collection with the mega-brands. It’s the perfumes, the make-up the brand image as a whole. This is the show and the brand people will remember from the Paris S/S 2010 collections.
