日本最大級のサマーフェスティバル「FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’10」。気づけば9月も終盤に近づき秋らしい季節がやってきた今日この頃。秋らしいというか、クレイジーな変わりよう。それはさておき、今年の「FUJI ROCK」には参加したのかな？毎年沢山のミュージシャンがあちこちからやってくる「FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL」。前夜祭を含めた3日間と半日。音楽と自然を自由に楽しむ「FUJI ROCK」ならではのサマーフェスティバル。会場に訪れる来場者は、コアな音楽好きから、ファミリー、自然をこよなく愛すアウトドアピープルと、とてもピースフルなフェスなのだ。そんなフェスで使い捨てカメラを片手に走り回っていたダン・ベイリー。そんな彼も今年で4回目の参加。最終日のRED MARQUEEでプレイをしたエール（AIR）の2人。WHITE STAGEで圧倒的なライブ・パフォーマンスを見せてくれたLCD サウンドシステム（LCD SOUNDSYSTEM）。そして、”SPECIAL GUEST“に登場したシザー・シスターズ（Scissor Sisters）のライブを、ステージ裏から楽しませていただいた。会場はメインステージの”GREEN“。来年のフジロックが待ち遠しい今日この頃。so you can enjoy now「DISPOSABLE LIVES – FUJI ROCK ’10」。
FUJI ROCK is the biggest and best of the Summer time Japanese music festivals. It doesn’t matter what the line-up is, you will find no setting more beautiful than the natural amphitheater created by the forested mountains of Naeba in Nigata prefecture. It was the 4th time I’d been to the 3-day festival, the other times being in 2004, 2006 and 2007, each time camping on the huge campsite which is on the golf course of The Naeba Prince Hotel. Highlights had to be AIR in the Red Marquee, LCD Sound System on the White Stage and getting to watch The Scissor Sisters from backstage on the Green Stage (Full line-up here). The real highlight of Fuji Rock though is getting messy with your friends out in the Japanese countryside….
