日本の伝統的な楽器尺八の効果音をサウンドに、「DRESSEDUNDRESSED（ドレスドアンドレスド）」2014/15年秋冬コレクションが発表された。テーマは「Japanese Garden（日本庭園）」。ファーストルックで登場したグレーのコートは、デザイナー自ら名付けた”着物コート”とのこと。一見普通のコートのようにも見えるが着物のようにも見えるオーバーサイズの一着。カラーパレットは、グレーを中心に、ブラック、ホワイト、暗めのレッドと上品な日本伝統を現代風にアレンジ。袴をイメージされたパンツはライトの当たり加減で表情を変えレザーのようにも見える。曲線の白と黒の模様はグラフィック・デザイナー/アートディレクターとして活躍するYOSHIROTTENとの作品で日本庭園の砂利をイメージしたのだろう。音楽は前回同様アーティスト「NOOS」。
DRESSEDUNDRESSED are steadily building a firm base of followers their unwavering aesthetic that concentrates on refined silhouettes in top quality Japanese fabrics. The back row of amazingly well dressed college kids gives some idea of the interest the Woolmark nominees have garnered in Tokyo. Through the Design pairs distinctively mode filter their inspirations are realized in a well thought out manner which is not immediately recognizable when unaware of the original source of inspiration. Take Fall 2014 for example, the several shades of grey and lined graphics of the pieces made immediate sense when told this season Takeshi and Emiko had turned their eye to the theme of the Japanese Garden, it’s grey raked stones and rusty fall reds. Japanese elements played through the soundtrack, again by NOOS (Takakahn), a fantastic musical accompaniment you can hear in the video of the show above.
