GIVENCHY STORE OPENING TOKYO WITH RICCARDO TISCI & NAOMI CAMPBELL

LVMHグループのオフィス＆ファッションビル「ONE表参道」にオープンした「GIVENCHY（ジバンシィ）」の旗艦店を祝して、オープンに先駆けレセプションパーティー（昨夜）が開催された。

ファッション関係者はもちろん、多くの著名人が駆けつけた5月16日。もちろん、クリエイティブ・ディレクター、リカルド・ティッシとスーパーモデルのナオミ・キャンベルもこの日のために来日。2005年にジバンシィのウィメンズ・オートクチュール及びプレタポルテ・コレクションのクリエイティブ・ディレクターに就任したティッシュ。その3年後には、メンズ・クリエイティブ・ディレクターに抜擢されハイエンドなストリートクチュールを披露し世のジバンシィギャングを魅了し続けている。

3フロアからなる同新店舗は、リカルド・ティッシュが就任して日本初のストアとなる「GIVEMCHY OMOTESANDO STORE」。地下にメンズと1階にアクセサリー、2階にウィメンズ・コレクションと3フロア構成。2階に上がれば世界各国でプレイする2人の兄弟クリス＆スティーヴ（The Martinez Brothers）が会場を温めていた。ティッシュお気に入りのDJ＝The Martinez Brothersは、（彼らは、ジバンシィの音楽も担当している）。会場には、VOGUE JAPANファッション・ディレクター、アンナ・デッロ・ルッソにVOGUE JAPAN編集長、コンデナストファミリー、コンデナスト・インターナショナル会長（CEO）ジョナサン・ニューハウス、ラグジュアリーグループLVMHのエグゼクティブと共に楽しいひと時を過ごした。

ストアを後に向かった先は、西麻布のFREQ.で開催されたアフターパーティーだった。ここでもThe Martinez Brothersによるプレイで会場は既に大興奮。いつぶりだろうか、”東京ファッションシーン”が一つの箱に集まりラグジュアリーブランドのアフターで熱気をムンムンにしてはオープンバーを満喫している。「7年ぶりの日本をとても楽しみにしていたんだ」と語ってくれたティッシュ。表参道でしか手に入れない限定アイテムも発売されているので是非足を運んでみるべし。

GIVENCHY feted the opening of their Japan Flagship last night in Tokyo with a party attended by GIVENCHY’s Artistic Director Riccardo Tisci and muse Naomi Campbell. Part of a renewal of LVMH’s Omotesando building, GIVENCHY is perfectly placed… this is Tokyo’s Street Fashion runway and has played host to many a Tisci Designed Shark, Rottweiler, Madonna & Child printed T Shirts over the years. The bright marble interior of the store welcomed the Designer last night with beats from GIVENCHY House DJ’s The Martinez brothers who were joined in the booth by a STUNNING Naomi Campbell. VOGUE JAPAN’s Anna Della Russo was in attendance for what was a Conde Nast family affair – Vogue Japan’s Editor in Chief Mitsuko Watanabe, Fashion Director Gene Krell, Chairman and chief executive of Condé Nast International Joanthan Newhouse all joined the heads of LVMH’s luxury powerhouses who mingled with models, actors and assembled press.

The After-Party was held at FREQUENCY (formerly ELEVEN – before that YELLOW). The Martinez Brother’s got the packed club dancing, the open bar aiding an air of excitement the Tokyo Fashion Scene was experiencing for the first time in a while. Sat in a booth with Model and Actress Rila Fukushima, Kozue Akimoto, Yoon (AMBUSH®), Baby Mary and Naomi (impossibly beautiful) Riccardo told us this was his first trip to Japan in 7 years, he was enjoying meeting lots of new people as well as shooting with Araki that afternoon. Tokyo definitely enjoyed having him here.
