近年最も栄光を浴びる現代アーティストの一人「ジェフ・クーンズ」の回覧展「Jeff Koons La Rétrospective」が、フランス・パリのポンピドゥー・センターにある国立近代美術館にて開催されている。
35年にも及ぶアーカイブ作品から新作、絵画、彫刻、バルーンと、彼の世界観がつまった100点もの作品を展示。代表作ともいえる「バルーン・ドッグ（1994-2000）」に「マイケル・ジャクソンとバブルス（1998）」。芸術評論家やアートコレクターたちを虜にした「ポパイ（2009-2011）」。なんと1年前に、世界初の国際競売会社（オークションハウス）「サザビーズ」で、2800万ドル（約33億円）という金額で落札されている。にしても意外だったのは今回がヨーロッパ初の回覧展とのこと。パリに訪れる方は是非足を運んでみるべし！
