年2回イタリア・フィレンツェで、1月と6月に行われる世界最大級のメンズプレタポルテの見本市「PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO」のゲストブランドとして参加した「KENZO(ケンゾー)」に、「PITTI W_WOMAN PRECOLLECTION」のゲストブランドには「MAISON KITSUNÉ(メゾン キツネ)」を迎えてウィメンズ初のコレクションを発表。ランウェイ形式とは異なり、日本から「AMBUSH®」デザイナー「VERBAL & YOON」をMCに迎えてショーはスタート。キツネの2013/14年秋冬コレクションに身を包んだVERBAL & YOON。彼らの進行で登場した、同ブランドの音楽レーベル所属「Say Lou Lou」「Yelle」「Citizens!」の3組によるライブパフォーマンス。「Show Business」をテーマに「AMBUSH®」の「VVV」新作コレクションをアクセントに、音楽とファッションを融合した新鮮なお披露目が行われた。

また、2月15日、「MAISON KITSUNÉ」の路面店が東京・南青山に待望の上陸を果たすほか、14日(木)SOUND MUSEUM VISIONではアフターパーティーが予定されている。詳しくは、コチラ!

This months Uomo Pitti in Florence saw the first official collection presentation by Maison Kitsuné. Rather than showcase their Fall/Winter 2013 clothes in a traditional runway setting, Kitsuné’s first ever ‘Show Business’ event had the Maison capitalize on their strong connection between music and fashion. MC’d by our very own VERBAL & YOON, performances by artists on Kitsuné’s roster including Saint Lou Lou, Yelle, Eli & Fur and Citizens! saw the artists take turn in performing tracks wearing Kitsuné’s collection and accessories by AMBUSH® (styled by YOON). It was a unique event and a perfect embodiment of the fusion between fashion & music that Kitsuné founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki represent.

2013 is looking to be a big year for Kitsuné, as well as their first collection show above, the Maison will open it’s first Asian stores in Japan February 14th. Based along the same concept as their French stores, the store will sell the Maison Kitsuné Collection whilst the cafe will concentrate on coffee and goods from Kitsuné’s music label.

In celebration of the opening a party will be held February 14th at VISION in Shibuya. The ‘KITSUNÉ FRENCH KISS INVASION’ will see electro acts LOGO, BeatauCue, Pyramid and Crayon join local talent for a huge celebration MORE INFO HERE
