ラフォーレミュージアム原宿を会場に「NOZOMI ISHIGURO HAUTE COUTURE」2014/15年秋冬コレクションが発表された。1989年に結成された巨大バンドどして知られる「渋さ知らズ」の生演奏で始まり、2014/15年秋冬コレクションに身を包んだモデルが登場。オールスタンディングの会場では、ファッション・ショーというよりライブを観にきたという感覚だろう。楽器を持ったバンドマンに、身体全体で表現するコンテンポラリーダンサー。多様な美術家が集まったアート・プロジェクトに、NOZOMI ISHIGUROの世界観が詰まったエキサイティングなショーだった。

Nozomi Shiguro’s Fall-Winter 2014-14 collection presentation celebrated both words in a sartorial sensory explosion that you NEED to watch the above video to get a grasp of because words fail me, The Shibushizaru Orchestra with a seemingly endless lineup of musicians were joined by banana waving girls, butoh dancers and a plethora of characters for the performance piece, again, make sure to watch the video above. Shiguro’s ‘Haute Couture’ aesthetic often seems like one-offs from a slightly brighter dystopian world to that of Commes Des Garcons, Shiguro spent years working at CDG as well as Junya Watanabe and the influence is apparent in his silhouettes, cuts and sleeves, even if he is more liberal with colors and patterns in the final pieces.
