グラソービタミンウォーター（Glaceau Vitamin Water）と音楽プロデューサーとして知られるVERBAL氏によるハロウィンパーティ「Glaceau Vitamin Water x VERBAL presents…”OBAKE YASHIKI” at OPENING CEREMONY」が、10月30日（土）OPENING CEREMONYを会場に開催された。2011年期待のヤングクリエイター（BALMUNG, BODYROTTEN, FLASH & ROXY, JUNYA SUZUKI, NORITAKE TATEHANA,）による、スペシャルハロウィンコスチュームの展示に、普段見掛けることのできないスペシャルすぎる著名人（熊田曜子、IMALU、夏川純、鳥居みゆき、YOU、桃井かおり）の来場。誰よりも期待したのは、やはりデヴィ夫人の存在であるだろう。そして、東京のパーティシーンに欠かせない存在となったカリスマダンサー、ジョンテ・モーニング（JONTE’ MOANING）に大沢伸一（Shinichi Osawa）らのパフォーマンス。当日は台風という予告がされていたにもかかわらず、仮装した多くのパーティピープルは、それぞれのコスチュームで会場を盛り上げていた。1階エントランス付近では、フォトグラファー、新田桂一（Keiichi Nitta）によるフォトシュートが行われていたり、上階に上がればお酒と共にショッピングを楽しむお化けたち。そして、更に上階へと …。著名人たちによる歌にダンスにトークショーに、さらに、怖い話までも。何から何まで盛り沢山な一夜だった。それより、「おまえら、うまい棒ほしんだろー。ちゃんとひろえよー。」と叫んでいたピン芸人の鳥居みゆきのワンシーン？見逃してないかな？（ヤケクソなテンションが笑えた。）と … いうかんじでお化けたちはそれぞれの街に消えて行ったのだった。

There was huge buzz for Halloween in Tokyo this year, mostly due to the ‘OBAKE’ Yashiki party produced by VERBAL and GLACEAU VITAMIN WATER at Opening Ceremony here in Tokyo. Despite heavy rain brought on by a typhoon sweeping through the capital, close to a thousand invited VIPs and competition winners joined celebrity guests and performers for a one of a kind Halloween event over all 7 floors of the store with a VIP party in the basement. Only Verbal has the vision and the capability to hold such a party which brought together personalities from all corners and generations of Tokyo nightlife, Casba’s incomparable Reico hosted the VIP bar, Keichi Nitta had a make-shift studio at the entrance, various comedians made surprise appearances, young designers decorated the spaces between each floor with installations, there were DJ sets from the likes of Mademoiselle Yulia and Shinichi Osawa, WAH nails was in attendance all the way from London, and the Queen of the night, Madame Dewi Fujin, the Japanese socialite who is rarely glimpsed outside of the newspapers and television made an appearance to throw candy at guests and wish everyone a ‘Happy Halloween’ (see her blog about the party here). An epic occasion if ever there was one.
