ロミオ+ジュリエットやムーラン・ルージュでお馴染みオーストラリア出身の映画監督バズ・ラーマンによる最新作「華麗なるギャツビー」が本日より公開。
ミウッチャ・プラダ率いるプラダとミュウミュウの豪華なクチュールたち、プラダ青山店でお披露目された「華麗なるギャッツビー」の衣装を展示した展覧会「CATHERINE MARTIN & MIUCCIA PRADA DRESS GATSBY」。会場には、公開直前に来日したバズ・ラーマン監督と妻で衣裳デザインを手がけたキャサリン・マーティンの姿が。この展覧会では、過去20年間のコレクションよりインスパイアされた貴重すぎるカクテルドレス40着とイブニングドレスが、プラダ青山店にて特別に展示されている。ぜひ足を運んでみるべし。

Thursday night in Tokyo and Prada’s iconic Aoyama store was the venue for the opening of an exhibition showcasing outfits from Baz Luhrmann’s new film ‘The Great Gatsby’. Miucca Prada either designed or oversaw the costumes for the film together with Luhrmann’s wife, Costume Designer Catherine Martin. The Director was in attendance as this was the day after ‘Gatsby’ premiered here in Tokyo, he commented on the great crowd and how good models including Rola, Elli-Rose, Sara-Mary and Kozue Akimoto looked in this seasons Prada and Miu Miu. For the party, the top two floors of the Prada building were lit up in red, the top floor being the exhibition whilst the 5th floor served as a Gatsby era bar. We enjoyed Americano cocktails with Matsuda Shota and Asano Tadanobu – PRADA always pulls in the best crowds and this night was no exception. The costumes from ‘The Great Gatsby’ are on display at Prada’s Aoyama Store until June 30th when they will travel to Shanghai.
