ニューヨークに着いてから5日目が経過していた2月15日の夕方。なんだかこの日はとても寒かった。マーク バイ マーク・ジェイコブス（MAEC BY MARC JACOBS）の2011/12秋冬コレクション会場を後に向かったブリーカー・ストリート（Bleeker St）エリア。そう … 昨年オープンしたばかりの「BOOK MARC」に「LITTLE MARC JACOBS」のブティックが立ち並ぶストリートだったのだ。もう少し先には「MARC BY MARC JACOBS」のブティックもあり、そちらでは、プレイボーイでご存知、バニーガールとの記念撮影が行われていた。一緒にきたTEAM MARCとTEAM NARSの一人サダちゃんこと伊藤先生。そして、モデル/女優の水原希子。今回新しく登場した「MARC JACOBS × PLAYBOY」Tシャツは、HIVチャリティーTシャツで、若者の意識向上を目的に組織された “Designers Against AIDS” の企画とのこと。お手頃価格でファッションが楽しめてチャリティーに参加。ニューヨークに行かれる方は、是非ブリーカー・ストリートに行ってみるべし。同ストリートには、オープンしたばかりの「NARS」初の店舗も待ち構えている。
After the Marc by Marc show last week me, Joe and Kiko decided to check out the Marc Jacobs retail Empire along Bleecker street. First off we went to ‘Little Marc Jacobs’ which is currently a pop-up shop selling the ‘Greatest Hits’ from a decade of Marc by Marc Jacobs which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year. A little down the street is Book Marc, the book store which opened last year, I really hope we get one of these in Tokyo! Last off we went to the Marc Jacobs store which for the past week has had a Playboy bunny there to take photos with customers. I LOVE Playboy girls and couldn’t wait tot get in there, even though i look nervous in the photo i still treasure it. Marc Jacobs is currently collaborating with Playboy on 3 T-shirts, Kiko bought one for a friend. The money from sales of the T-shirts are going towards the charity ‘Designers Against AIDS’. Bleecker Street is such a nice part of New York, have a wander down next time you’re in town.
