Wes Anderson’s news film ‘Island of Dogs’ set in Japan


Wes Anderson’s next film ‘The Island of Dogs’ is an animated adventure set in Japan. Set in a dystopian future, the story follows the quest of a young boy who sets out in search of his pet dog on an island of trash all dogs have been exiled to following an out-break of ‘canine-flu’. Featuring the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Harvey Keitel, Tilda Swinton and Yoko Ono, ‘Island of Dogs’ will be released in Spring 2018. Just from the clip we can sense Anderson’s stated inspiration as being the films of legendary director, Akira Kurosawa.
