緑と青のレーザー光線、DJのサウンドと共に5人のモデルが暗闇から登場した「yoshio kubo（ヨシオクボ）」2014/15年秋冬コレクション（2014年春夏コレクション レポートはこちら！）。パッと見た感じではスポーツ要素をデザインソースに、得意のグラフィックをあしらったアウターが目立っていた。が、どこかシックでエレガントな雰囲気も感じ取れるミックスされたエレガントスポーティー。そして、目を止めたのはヘアスタイル。フルフェイスのように頭全体をカバーしたユニークなヘッドピース。また、金メダルがプリントされたニットやポンチョ、ツイードのジャケットにダッフルコートとリアリティーを取り入れた2014/15年秋冬コレクション。
Yoshio Kubo’s thematics moved from Spanish for Spring to a stadium for Autumn 2014, an appropriate setting for a brand which mixes traditional fabrics with those more commonly seen in contemporary sportswear. This mesh of styles and fabrics is seen often in Japanese menswear, for Kubo’s Fall collection it’s on colored fake fur body warmers of more typical knit sweaters and waist length jackets made longer through additional fabrics dropping below the knee. The ‘go faster’ hair was difficult to understand, but it got the show a mention in British tabloid The Daily Mail (read here).
