Ray-Ban THE ICONS
3月3日に、Ray-Ban の個性溢れる9つのマスターピースを一堂に集めた「THE ICONS」スペシャルパーティーが、恵比寿のリキッドルームで行なわれた。 時代とともに新しい伝説を作りあげてきた Ray-Ban は、1937年に誕生して以来70年余年亘り、アイウェア界で “フォーエバー レイバン” 哲学が流れ、ヘリテージを今でも守り続けている。そのヘリテージを今でも守り続けているモデルが今回発表された「THE ICONS」。 その9つのモデルとは、 アビーエーター（AVIATOR）、アウトドアーズマン（OUTDOORSMAN）、シューター（SHOOTER）、キャラバン（CARAVAN）、オリンピアン（OLYMPIAN）、バロラマ（BALORAMA）、キャッツ（CATS）、クラブマスター（CLUBMASTER）、ウェイファーラー（WAYFARER）。 スペシャルゲストには、ミュージシャンの布袋寅泰を迎えシークレットライブが行われた。 Ray-Bans held a party this week at Liquid Room in Ebisu to celebrate “The Icons” of eye wear the company has produced since 1937. 前日発売されたUK i-D誌の「ベスト オブ ブリティッシュ」。英国モデルのクールなカットとインタビューが取り上げられている。モデルの中でも圧倒的に人気のケイト・モス（Kate Moss）、アギネス・ディーン（Agyness Deyn）の表紙は全て売り切れ状態となっている。 It’s not just the cover of i-D magazine which gets the ‘Best of British’ model treatment, each model has a beautiful set of photos as well as an interview in time soon. アルマーニ・ジーンズ（Armani Jeans）の2009年春夏キャンペーンに、モデルのシーグリルド・アグレン（Sigrid Agren）とオーリー・エドワーズ（Ollie Edwards）が抜擢。フォトグラファーには、GA同様マート・アラス(Mert Alas)&マーカス・ピゴー(Marcus Piggott)が担当。 正直言うと、私が思うにアルマーニ・ジーンズと聞くと、90年代に撮影されたアルマーニ・ジーンズのコマーシャルを思い浮かべてしまう。当時のコマーシャルを担当したのは、現実離れしたアイデアで撮影をする、デビッド・ラシャペル（David LaChappelle）。ライアン・フィリップ（Ryan Phillipe）アマンダ・ルポール（Amanda Lepore）らも90年代に彼とフィーチャしている。 Sigrid Agren and Ollie Edwards are photographed by Mert & Marcus for Spring/Summer 2009 Armani Jeans campaign.
