commons&sense man – ALEXANDER McQUEEN
美意識の高いメンズへ向けたファッション誌「commons&sense man 」の新号が今月の27日に発売されると同時に、もっとも気になる表紙フォトが。そう、表紙に起用された人物とは「永遠の天才デザイナー」アレキサンダー・マックイーン（Alexander McQueen）だった。2月に眠りについてしまったマックイーンを思い、commons&senseエディターたちは彼の違うアングルルックを表紙に飾ったのだ。写真左が2009年の秋冬号で、写真右が今月の27日に発売される新号表紙だ。こういったかたちでファッション誌の表紙に同一人物を同じかたちで登場させるのは初めてではないだろうか。なんだか、目には見えないとてもソフトな気持ちが心にしみる。 With Alexander McQueen’s passing this year, his beaming smile on the the cover of the A/W issue of Commons&Sense MAN magazine (above left) gained great poignancy. もっとも有名な2人の写真家がVOGUE ITALIA版の表紙、エディトリアルを作り上げた。そう、スティーブンつながりのあの2人だ。フレジャ・ベハ（Freja Beha）を表紙に、メインエディトリアルでは（上段）1920年代のロマンチックなテーマを物語に、スティーブン・マイゼル（Steven Meisel）によって撮影が行われ、同号付録表紙では（下段）スティーブン・クライン（Steven Klein）が撮影。それにしてもどちらとも同じ雰囲気だ。 Two of fashions most prolific photographers are at work for VOGUE ITALIA this month. CHANEL A/W 2010/11 in PARIS
スウェーデンの氷山をイメージしたシャネル（Chanel）の2010年秋冬コレクションではファーのオンパレード。これでもかっていうくらいにファーを使用している。 Real icebergs were brought in from Sweden for the Chanel A/W collection shown in Paris yesterday. The freezing Winter has obviously hit designers hard, an abundance of furs on the runway to ensure we are going to keep warm next Winter.

一人の天才デザイナーが去り、同様を隠しきれないファッション界だったが、リーのためにも、リーが残した物語を潰す訳にはいかない。そうアレキサンダー・マックイーン（Alexander Mcqueen）のクリエイティブチームは、リーのためでもある2010/11年秋冬コレクションを完成させたのだ。それにしても、素晴らしすぎる。自由に創造力を羽ばたかせるクチュールマックイーン。今後のマックイーンはどうなっていくのか。 A majestic and regal collection which puts further emphasis on the genius we have lost – Alexander Mcqueens collection shown in Paris yesterday.
