Jill Sander for Uniqlo A/W ’10/’11

ジル・サンダー（Jil Sander）とユニクロ（UNIQLO）のコンサルティング契約「＋J」が、新たに2010/11年秋冬コレクションを10月より発売スタート。ポートレイトのようなキャンペーンを撮り上げたのはイギリス出身のフォトグラファー、デヴィッド・シムズ（David Sims）。また、第53回日本ファッション・エディターズ・クラブ（FECJ）賞のデザイナー・オブ・ザ・イヤー国内部門で、ジル・サンダーが選定されたのだ。

The first David Sims shots of Jill Sander for Uniqlo A/W ’10/’11 are in – it is as you would expect, no surprises here. I think it’s just good branding. I think it’s terrible that Jill Sander was awarded ‘Japanese designer of the year’ award at the Fashion Editors Club of Japan dinner. She’s great at what she does but there are plenty of Japanese designers who deserve recognition. I think the FECJ is bull shit, how are those awards decided anyway?
