日本を代表するトップモデル、上田大輔と岡本多緒が「MIHARA YASUHIRO（ミハラヤスヒロ）」の2012年秋冬キャンペーンに起用された。フォトグラファー、パオロ・ロベルシ（Paolo Roversi ）。ランウェイでは”Insider Outsider”と題したテーマに対し、サプライズゲストにサムライギタリスト 雅-MIYAVIの生演奏までもが行われた。日本の文化にリンクしたモノづくりに追求。ミリタリーやワークをベースに日本の着物の歴史や色彩が目に飛び込む。ジャーナリストのティム・ブランクスは、パリコレ最終日にミハラのショーを堪能することができ最高の気分だったようだ。
Japanese Super Models Daisuke Ueda and Tao Okamoto star in the Fall campaign for Mihara Yasuhiro whose show was a stand out success at Paris mens fashion week earlier this year. Using traditional kimono fabrics in camouflage patterns Mihara achieved a sense of balance between old and new which for us is synonymous with Japanese culture itself. A surprise guest appearance from Miyavi at the show (see below) rounded out the showcase of Japanese talent. Perhaps Tim Blanks said it best describing Mihara-san as ‘one of the most enlightening, uplifting designers on the Paris menswear schedule’.
