ロンドン・ヴィクトリア・ハウスを会場に「アレックス・ムリンズ」の2016年秋冬プレゼンテーションが行われた。「Process of Boredom」をインスピレーションに「平凡」「退屈」というワードがキーワード。奇妙に聞こえる彼の概念にちょっと納得。どんなシチュエーションがロマンティックだろうか。「雨の中バスを待つ1人の男性＿髪はもちろん、着ている服やバックは濡れてしまい必然的にウェットスタイルに」。びっしょり濡れたスタイルはここから作り込まれている。変形デニムやスカートのようなラップ、マルチ柄プリント、そして、写真家ヘイゼル・ガスキンとのコラボシリーズ。
‘Boredom’ was the central theme of Alex Mullins F/W presentation at London Collection’s MEN. Not the feeling itself, but what it produces, ‘the process of boredom’.
