映画界で最も得体の知れない映画監督デヴィッド・リンチのドキュメンタリー映画「David Lynch: The Art Life（原題）」、2018年日本公開決定。
映画作品のみならず、絵画、立体、写真、音楽など様々な方法で表現活動を続けるデヴィッド・リンチ。映画「David Lynch: The Art Life（原題）」では、リンチ自身がプライベート映像と共に、幼少期の頃の家族との思い出や同居人であったJ・ガイルズ・バンドのピーター・ウルフ、後に「ストレート・ストーリー」「マルホランド・ドライブ」の美術監督を務めるジャック・フィスクとの出会い、そしてフィラデルフィアでの暮らしや妻ペギーの出産を経て、長編映画デビュー作「イレイザーヘッド」に至るまでを語る。
5月17日から始まる第70回カンヌ国際映画祭では、70周年を記念してデヴィッド・リンチ監督の伝説的TVドラマシリーズ「ツイン・ピークス」25年ぶりの新作が2エピソード プレミア上映される。

A new documentary by John Nguyen profiles enigmatic Director David Lynch. ‘The Art Life’ presents the life and career of the famed director though over 20 conversations with him at his home, Lynch gives insight as so how his formative years had an impact on his later career. It comes as we await the highly anticipated release of ‘Twin Peaks’, two episodes from which premier at the Cannes film festival this week.
