i-D Pre-Spring 2010
ジバンシーのデザイナー リカルド・ティッシ（Ricardo Tisci）にナターシャ・ポリー（Natasha Poly）、そしてリアーナ（Rihanna）らがi-D Magazineの表紙に起用。本誌エディトリアルでは、フォトグラファー、テリー・リチャードソンやオリヴィエ・ザームによるフォトストーリーがあったり、映画監督デビューを果たしたトム・フォードとアレキサンダー・ワンのインタビュー記事があったりと、濃い内容になっている。 Willy Vanderperre’s photographed Givenchy designer Ricardo Tisci, model Natasha Poly and Rihanna for three alternate pre-Spring 2010 i-D covers. The content looks great too with Terry Richardson photographing Purple magazine’s Olivier Zahm for a special interview piece as well as articles on Tom Ford and Alexander Wang.

i-D September 2009 – Arlenis, Chanel, Jourdan, Sessilee by Emma Summerton
黒人ヤングモデル、アレニス（Arlenis）、シャネル（Chanel）、ジョルダン（Jourdan）、セシリー（Sessilee）らが、i-D Magazineの表紙に起用。フォトグラファー、エマ・サマートン（Emma Summerton）。 The title says it all really. But it’s great to see black models take the cover of i-D magazine in this image from photographer Emma Summerton.

DAZED & CONFUSED JAPAN to go six times a year
7年前にスタートしたファッション＆カルチャー誌デイズド・アンド・コンフューズド ジャパン（DAZED & CONFUSED JAPAN）が、6月号、7月号、8月号をストップすることが明らかとなってしまった。今後の予定としては、9月発売の10月号より再スタートするのだが、年に6回と発行回数が減る模様。先日UK i-D誌より同内容の記事が発表され、今後の出版業界がとても不安。そんな中、2004年に休刊となってしまったUK ファッション＆カルチャー誌”THE FACE”マガジンがカムバックと最高に嬉しいニュースも出回っている。個人的にTHE FACEカムバックはかなり嬉しい（以前と内容は異なる）。不況状況が続き雑誌の売り上げがダウンする中、「今はウェブの時代と言われているが」やっぱり紙面上でファッションシューティングを目にし刺激を得、そこからインスピレーション、アイデアを得る人は沢山いるはず。そう思うと、やっぱりファッション・ピープルには最高級なクリエイティブ集団の活動を目にする必要がある。間違いない。 Dazed and Confused Japan is taking a 3-month break before being published just six-times a year under a renewed liscencing agreement with it’s parent company in the UK. UK i-D誌の300番目を企画として三種類の表紙が用意されている。左表紙からモデル＆フォトグラファー、シーグリルド・アグレン（Sigrid Agren）、アラスデア・マクラーレン（Alasdair McLellan）。（中）ターシャ・ティルバーグ（Tasha Tilberg）、ケイティッ・ジョーンズ（Kayt Jones）。（右）ラケル・ジマーマン（Raquel Zimmerman）、ユルゲン・テラー（Jurgen Teller）。 そう、残念なニュースを耳にしてしまった。今までi-Dマガジンは毎月一回刊行していたものの、今年の夏9月から年に6回の発刊となってしまった。不況状況が続く世の中、特に出版業界はとても厳しいと言われているこの時勢。日本だけでなく、海外でも休刊してしまった雑誌は多くないだろう。過去に大好きだった”The Face”マガジンも2004年に休刊してしまっている。i-Dマガジンだけは休刊してほしくない。 The 300th issue of i-D magazine has 3 different covers featuring Sigrid Agren by Alasdair McLellan, Tasha Tilberg by Kayt Jones and Raquel Zimmerman by Jurgen Teller. 前日発売されたUK i-D誌の「ベスト オブ ブリティッシュ」。英国モデルのクールなカットとインタビューが取り上げられている。モデルの中でも圧倒的に人気のケイト・モス（Kate Moss）、アギネス・ディーン（Agyness Deyn）の表紙は全て売り切れ状態となっている。 It’s not just the cover of i-D magazine which gets the ‘Best of British’ model treatment, each model has a beautiful set of photos as well as an interview in time soon. It’s on shelves now but selling out fast at Tower Records!
