キム・ジョーンズ就任後初のお披露目となった「DIOR」2019年春夏コレクション（2018年6月23日）。アーティストの KAWS や マシュー・ウィリアムズ、帽子デザイナーのスティーブン・ジョーンズ、そして同時期からディオールのジュエリーデザイナーに就任したAMBUSHのYOONと、盛り沢山の共働ピースを多いに披露したディオール。
なんと、2018年11月30日、キム・ジョーンズ率いるディオールが、初のメンズ プレ フォール コレクションをここ東京でお披露目することを発表した。多大なインスピレーションを求めてアフリカ諸国へ、幼少時代の動物との記憶、また日本への愛情もSNSを見れば一目でわかる。そんな彼が、また新たな歴史を刻もうとしている。

Kim Jones took to instagram to announce that Dior Men’s pre-fall collection will debut in Tokyo on November 30th. Jones considers the Japanese capital as a home from home after racking up countless trips here over the past few years (and it literally is the home of Dior Men jewelry designer YOON). A pre-fall spectacle in an overseas location is the kind of event usually reserved for women’s collections so this move speaks volumes as to Kim Jones standing and influence within the industry.
