Good luck to her .

We saw the covers of Vogue Nippon 2008 a couple of days ago so we now take the opportunity to look at French, American and British Vogue.
Lots of people on the internet have been discussing the possibility that Anna Wintour is on her way out at American Vogue. Sales are down more then any other magazine in the states (apart from “O” Magazine) and advertising pages are 100 down compared to last year. It is rumored that Senior Managers at Conde Naste (Vogues publishers), are in France for talks with Carine Roitfeld for her to take Wintours place as Chief editor of American Vogue. Roitfeld and Wintour are two very different women, and they manage two very different magazines. You can tell just by looking at the past years covers. This is also representative of the fact that the buying public of both America and France are also very different. Whilst we much prefer the past years Paris Vogue covers to Americas boring over use of actresses, perhaps Roitfelds style wouldn’t do well with the housewives of the O.C. that buy American Vogue. Having said that, we remember the last time people were worried at how American and French styles were a miss-match. It was when Marc Jacobs joined Louis Vuitton, and that didn’t turn out too badly did it? Anna Wintour has been in the job for 20 years now, and if she wants to move on good luck to her, she could have any job in the industry. She has been instrumental in the success of many of todays designers and photographers and her accomplishments should not be overlooked because of a years decline in sales.
Month by month which cover do you pefer?

I must say that I love French Vogue especially the cover with Julianne Moore…the photoshoot in this one was fab! May be a biased decision based on the fact that I bought that issue in Paris last spring! ahhhh the memories!
